Who we work with
We carry a deliberately small number of brands. That’s the whole point of BYOUT, and it means we’re picky about who joins. We get on best with founders who care about:
- What’s actually in the formula, and being willing to say so
- Safe, considered manufacturing
- Building something that lasts, not chasing a viral month
- The person on the other end of the bottle
You don’t need every certificate on day one. A lot of our brands are early, and we’re happy to grow alongside you. Tell us what you have and what you’re working towards. We’d much rather hear that honestly than see a tidy list that doesn’t hold up.
Two ways to work together
Which one suits you depends on your stage, your shelf life, and how much risk you want to carry.
Inventory
We buy stock from you upfront at a wholesale rate. After that it’s ours to store, pack and ship.
You get a clean revenue moment straight away and can go back to making product while we run the retail side.
Consignment
Your stock sits with us, but it stays yours until it sells. We split revenue on agreed margins and settle monthly.
Lower commitment upfront, and a sensible way to test BYOUT before you go deeper.

We’re not a checkout page with your logo on it. Joining BYOUT comes with:

- Routine-led marketing Your products get built into editorial routines around real concerns like acne, pigmentation, hair layering and glow, so people find you in the context where you make sense.

- The basics. Brand name, website, Instagram handle.
- A short brief. What you make and what makes it different. A paragraph is plenty.
- Your range and price points.
- Certifications. What you have, such as DRAP or PCSIR, and what’s still in progress.
- Manufacturing. Where and how your products are made.
- Preferred model. Inventory, consignment, or let’s discuss.
We read every application ourselves and aim to come back to you within two weeks. If you haven’t heard from us by then, chase us. Applications do occasionally get buried and we’d rather you nudged us than assumed it was a no.
